Assassin's Creed Reveals Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A strange confrontation leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
