BF6 BR Mode Launches This Week as a Free-to-Play Experience

Following months of anticipation, the BR mode for Battlefield 6 is finally launching. Recent talk indicating its debut would happen alongside the first season were accurate. Gamers can jump into the action starting very soon.

Season 1 Adding a Brand-New Arena, Game Type, and Guns

In tandem with the BR addition, the first season is also kicking off. This brings a fresh location, a fresh game type, and fresh guns. On top of that, Redsec is arriving. A featured trailer will become available at launch, offering fans a preview of what's to come.

Complimentary Model Makes the Mode Available to All

Perhaps the biggest news is that Battlefield Redsec will be F2P. Similar to established games, you don't have to purchase the base game to participate. Some players have earlier tested alpha versions of the mode. Those trials were conducted in a testing environment, which the team described as their largest community collaboration effort.

The heart-pounding excitement during encounters with enemy players is unmatched in other battle royale. It seems do or die, and you genuinely worry if you make it or not.

Although I was a skeptic earlier, I'm fully a fan of the BR mode now that I've experienced it.

Such first feedback from participants have been extremely encouraging. Certainly, the experience may have changed over the past few weeks in terms of tuning and pace. Still, first impressions are strong that the battle royale could emerge as a real competitor to popular games. Some are hoping that the top weapons from the main game will also apply in the BR.
