Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
